To change the front gearcase or demand drive fluid on your Sportsman X2, Touring and 6x6 570, follow these steps:

For optimal performance, always use Polaris recommended fluids as described in your Owner’s Manual.

1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, ensure it is in PARK and set the parking brake.

2. Place a drain pan underneath the front gearcase. Note: Placing a rag in the bottom of the drain pan will help prevent the splashing of fluid.

3. Clean the area around the drain plug.

4. Remove the drain plug with a 8mm Allen socket and allow the fluid to drain completely.

5. Clean any dirt or debris on the drain plug. Inspect the O-ring and replace, if necessary. A new drain plug is part number 3234412.

6. Install the drain plug and torque to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm).

7. Clean the area around the fill plug.

8. Remove the fill plug with a 8mm Allen socket and set aside.

9. Use a funnel or fluid filler to slowly add the proper amount of the recommended fluid. The fluid capacity is 9 fl oz (265 mL). The fluid level should reach the bottom of the fill hole threads. 1 quart of Demand Drive Fluid is part number 2877922.

10. Clean any dirt or debris on the fill plug. Inspect the O-ring and replace, if necessary. A new fill plug is part number 3233942.

11. Reinstall the fill plug and torque to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm).

12. Clean any residual fluid off the vehicle and inspect for leaks.

13. Dispose of the used fluid properly at your local recycling center.
