Position Overview:
As the Sourcing Lead, you'll take the reins on strategic Sourcing initiatives for the critical fuel systems category across all Polaris platforms. This category encompasses fuel tanks and pumps, as well as additional supporting components. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping long-term commodity strategies, elevating supplier performance, and driving cost competitiveness. Your technical fluency and Sourcing expertise will empower you to lead cross-functional initiatives and support innovative product launches. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute multi-year commodity strategies that align with internal stakeholders, growth objectives, and overall supply chain goals.
- Drive the Sourcing process for new and revised parts, including RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and other cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovative fuel systems across all platforms.
- Manage supplier performance in quality, delivery, and capacity to support ongoing production and new product development.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through fact-based negotiation, cost modeling, and market analysis.
- Support supplier transitions tied to platform innovation, ensuring continuity and alignment with business needs.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that reflect Polaris’ long-term vision and priorities.
- Partner with Quality teams on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of supplier-related quality issues.
- Address part shortages and delivery challenges quickly to sustain uninterrupted production flow.
- Lead cross-functional coordination and manage timelines, technical documentation, and supplier readiness for new vehicle programs.
- Conduct make vs. buy analyses and support Sourcing decisions through robust data and supplier insights.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 4+ years of direct material Sourcing experience, preferably with technical components
- Proven ability to lead supplier negotiations, manage supplier performance, and drive cross-functional Sourcing initiatives
- Demonstrated experience interpreting technical drawings and engineering data
- Past experience in supplier transitions, including onboarding and phase-out processes
- Strong strategic planning, risk mitigation, and problem-solving capabilities
- Skilled in presenting updates to executive leadership
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
The pay range for Minnesota is $72,000 to $95,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
