ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

BUSINESS: Polaris Off-Road Vehicles (ORV)

LOCATION: Campus MTY (Apodaca, N.L.)

DIRECT REPORTING: Scheduler, Plant Sr.(Int'l)

JOB SUMMARY:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop, and execute recovery plans
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs
  • Schedule demand based on the product mix and provided accurate lead times to sales department
  • Release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle Determine available capacity before planned orders are released.
  • Modifies and adapts production schedules and issues order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintains capacity information in ERP/MRP for FG items.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with Production Planning Spvr, to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies
  • Lead department’s S & OP activities. Monitor overall operational supply and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
  •  Facilitate cross-functional (e.g. Quality, Mfg, Central Planning) and multi-level discussions impacting operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field required
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience in manufacturing planning
  • Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPSM certification
  • Knowledge and experience with Sales & Operations Planning
  • Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required. (AS400, SAP)
  • English Proficiency

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups), Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Team player: able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams
  • Bias for Action: Evaluates, acts, and communicates in a timely manner. Decisive, makes timely practical, effective decisions. Takes initiative without being asked.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information objectively and evaluate sources such as data, facts, observable phenomena, and research to make a reasoned judgment.
  •  Problem Solving: ability to identify problems as they arise, gather quantitative and qualitative data, and bring forth a recommendation toward a solution
  •  Manages Systems and Processes: Effectively uses systems and processes to measure, monitor, manage, and impact performance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment; required to spend time on manufacturing plant floor which includes walking / standing as needed.
