The Sr. Collaboration Admin will work closely with key infrastructure and business team members to support the design and implementation of the telephone and collaboration architecture. The Sr. Collaboration Admin will primarily support the operational aspects of Microsoft Teams, focusing on the administration, monitoring, and stability of voice, presence, video, collaboration, and telephony network services across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the management and upkeep of Microsoft M365 systems for the delivery of services. Service includes Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other technologies as defined.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot voice and video environments at domestic and international sites.
  • Plan, analyze, test, and deploy changes or policies for Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, Office 365, and/or related services following current best practices.
  • Adhere to and promote existing ITIL processes and change management procedures.
  • Perform analysis and capacity planning to ensure the performance and scalability of the voice and video environment.
  • Develop standards and technical documentation to support Level 1 and 2 staff.
  • Assess complex projects with a variety of requirements quickly, correctly prioritize tasks, provide accurate time estimates, and complete tasks in a timely manner while communicating changes and updates.
  • Maintain system documentation. 
  • Manage existing technology solutions to ensure they are secured, available, and perform optimally.
  • Provide recommendations to management resulting in purchases and installation of hardware and software solutions that will support current or future business needs.
  • Management of PSTN services and service providers, working closely with the telecommunications team to manage service providers, service, DID pools, Wireless Service, and various other systems and services.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant Microsoft services and support policies to provide technically accurate solutions to customers.
  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of the overall corporate voice and video infrastructure.
  • Perform analysis, research, and take corrective action as needed to resolve 3rd-tier incidents, requests, problems, and escalations from lower tiers of support.
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to analyze, log, track, and resolve complex issues.

SKILLS,  KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical working experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience within MS O365 increase responsibility.
  • 3+ years of experience providing technology leadership in O365 stack, with relevant experience on Microsoft teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including, but not limited to, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Understanding of PowerShell for administration.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of management as well as with Polaris’ vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with project requirements gathering.
  • Experience with architecture, design, and implementation of collaboration technologies
  • Experience with business and functional requirements collection.
  • Understanding of IT processes and procedures concepts.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion to grow and learn new technologies.
  • Proven exceptional customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals and scripting languages.
  • Preferred Knowledge of A/V technologies such as Crestron programming, HDMI, and commercial televisions.
  • Preferred working knowledge and experience with PSTN connectivity standards (PRI, CAS, POTS, E&M, SIP).
  • Preferred Knowledge of Carrier-Based SIP Trunking technologies and Session Border Controllers.
  • Preferred Knowledge of large-scale MPLS and Unified Communications deployments.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Domestic and international travel as required
  • Some nonstandard hours including nights and weekends on occasion
