JOB SUMMARY:
Provide maintenance support for Polaris parts and accessory distribution center operations, including but not limited to repairs and PMs for building systems, robotics, forklifts, material handling equipment and other machinery on site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshooting and repair of conveyor and robotic systems, PLCs, electrical equipment up to 480V, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems
Problem-solving, researching, and brainstorming ideas for process improvements
Diagnosing and repairing issues with conveyors, sorters, and other automated systems using HMIs
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to maximize equipment runtime
Respond to production issues and work to minimize operational downtime.
Assist in establishing, maintaining and enhancing maintenance standards and procedures.
Coordinate and manage external vendors to complete facilities tasks or special projects.
Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area - utilizing 5S methodology and adhering to OSHA regulations
Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN projects.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical degree such as electrical or mechanical maintenance required or actively enrolled in a technical degree program
Ability to communicate effectively, with all levels of the distribution center
Ability to perform tasks under minimal supervision
Knowledgeable of electronics and troubleshooting of electronics
Excellent organization, communication, administrative and teamwork skills are required.
Strong desire to deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships
Knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required
The ability to maintain and accurately document information; record-keeping
The ability to take direction and manage multiple tasks and is required.
Ability to work well with little supervision.
Ability to read and interpret building/mechanical blueprints and electrical diagrams.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with HMIs, PLCs, and other automation systems
Experience working with of Allen Bradley and Siemens controls, Dematic conveyor systems, SICK scanners, and Raymond forklifts and lift trucks
Knowledge of industrial communication networks, such as CAN-Bus, Profibus, and ASI systems
Welding and fabrication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Distribution Center and Warehouse environment
Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
Capacity & comfort to easily work on a platform/lift, up to 40 feet from the ground
Ability to stand/walk for a 7-9-hour shift
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. individually, or 75 lbs. with a team lift is required
Base Pay Range:
