
LMS Administrator & Instructional Designer

The LMS Administrator / Instructional Designer role is a unique opportunity to blend technical and creative skillsets. This role configures, manages, and maintains the Polaris online learning platforms for optimal efficiency and ease of use. As a contributor to the Instructional Design team, you will also identify training curriculum for internal employees and dealer channel partners that results in increased knowledge, productivity, and engagement. A strong background in Project Management serves as the foundation for both aspects of this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Collaborate with internal partners to understand business plans, priorities, issues and needs.
- Continually enhance methods based on best practices in the industry, emerging technologies, vendor resources and products, business unit requirements and expectations, and feedback from learners
- Autonomously scope, prioritize, and implement projects
- Employ continuous improvement tools to identify and document best practices and streamline processes
- Develop and deliver user communication on platform and course updates
- Ensure projects meet cost, timeliness, and quality requirements
Learning Management System Administration
- Manage user accounts, load course content, and configure system settings
- Create training resources to guide users and proactively address FAQs
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and user accounts by working with vendor and internal teams
- Provide direct correspondence and support for learner email inquiries
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with business unit leaders to create effective and understandable curriculum configuration structure
- Track, analyze and consult on training metrics via scheduled reports and intraday requests
Instructional Design, eLearning Course Development, and Implementation
- Create and maintain engaging eLearning content to communicate complex learning concepts effectively
- Develop objectives, content outlines, and evaluation criteria for learning solutions
- Provide coaching, support and leadership to contracted employees that develop and deliver training
- Structure courses to integrate seamlessly with software and LMS
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, educational technology, computer science or a related field preferred
- 2+ years LMS Administration experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Working knowledge of the following software:
- Storyline, Articulate 360, Rise
- Adobe Creative Cloud: Captivate, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier
- SCORM and xAPI
- Microsoft: Power BI, Power Automate, Forms preferred
- UX/UI design experience, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs
- Experience working with IT teams, LMS integrations, and APIs
- Powersports experience preferred
