JOB OPPORTUNITY/DESCRIPTION

Title: Snow Design Engineer

Department: ORV
Reports To: Manager- ORV

Location: Bangalore

JOB SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for the design of Plastic Body atemnd Seat system components, management of module assemblies/layouts, and creation of associated drawings for Polaris products. Work closely with system engineering team for both Body and Seats, vehicle architects, and project teams to create and
execute industry-leading design solutions. Interact with design and engineering resources, located domestic and international.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
 Collaborate with Project Team supporting body and seat system design and development.
 Utilize 3D modeling software to design plastic body and seat components (A/B Side).
 Generate design concepts fulfilling key product characteristics, and styling with direction from
Industrial Design, Product/Systems team.
 Must understand injection mold design and tooling methodology.
 Review and maintain body module assembly/layouts and corresponding bill of materials.
 Ensure proper interactions are maintained to other systems.
 Create component & assembly drawings.
 Design of check fixtures and inspection gages.
 Participate in DFM focused design reviews.

SKILLS & KNOWLDGE
 Minimum 3-8 years plastics design experience with Creo preferred. Sheet metal, plastic design,
3D – Modelling, Pref knowledge on DFMEA
 Minimum 3-8 years’ experience with surfacing and solid modeling.
 Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in drafting, GD&T.
 Exposure to Alternate Plastic manufacturing processes is added advantage
 Master Model management and working knowledge is preferred.
 Microsoft software including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook/Teams.
 Exhibits outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
 Fast paced office environment.
 Flexible hours are required to participate in meetings with global team.
 International Travel to United States may be required (less than 10%).
