Lead the Off-Road FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) business planning processes (Strategic Planning, Annual Planning, Capital Planning, and Forecasting), to deliver strong, risk-balanced plans for continued business growth. Reports to the Sr. Director of Off-Road FP&A.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is a key role in the company that includes substantial visibility to the Off-Road leadership teams. This person will lead the consolidation, assessment and reporting on business plan performance, including risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions to identify value creation opportunities and improve business outcomes.
Drive the core financial processes for the Off-Road segment, including annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long range plan, and monthly operating reviews.
Review and communicate accurate monthly financial results while providing operational analysis and variance explanations for the Off-Road Segment.
Serve as primary business partner for Marketing, SIOP, IS, and Service groups, ensuring timely and accurate analysis expenses and business cases.
Lead the quarterly evaluation of the reserves as appropriate by developing data driven analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and automation, while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective financial performance and cost management.
Lead and evaluate performance to the Off-Road plans and communicate opportunities in revenue, margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and ROIC
Support the roll-out of strategic initiatives (Northstar Rewards, etc.), ensuring appropriate forecasting & accounting controls and procedures are in place.
Drive process improvement across all aspects of FP&A processes including implementation and/or enhancement of tools and processes used to support planning cycles, with a focus on automation / synergies across the segment
Complete complex business modeling and analysis to drive revenue growth, identify operating improvements, deep dive on cost structures and analyze business opportunities/investments (ROI/NPV)
Supervise the maintenance and documentation of ORV / Snow financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX.
Develop and coach the FP&A analyst level. Assist in setting department and individual goals. Monitor progress to company, department and individual goals. Manage workload, evaluate resource requirements and provide guidance to the cross-functional teams.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. Advanced degree desired.
7 - 10 years’ experience in finance/accounting positions of growing responsibility required.
3+ years’ experience managing a team.
Experience coordinating large financial processes such as Divisional or Corporate annual budgets/forecasts is required.
Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans.
Experience using and implementing financial processes/tools such as OneStream / Alteryx / Power BI.
Experience with leading and conducting monthly closing of financials and generating financial reporting packages for senior management.
Excellent influencing and leadership skills. Hands-on” active participative leadership style.
Experience communicating, reporting and influencing executive leadership in a strategic partnership capacity. Strong business acumen.
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a matrix environment with multiple customers and evaluators.
Proven success in driving change and leading process improvement within finance and business support systems.
Detail oriented, possess strong analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel financial modeling.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once.
Dynamic fast-paced team environment. Some travel is required.
