Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position within the Battle Ground Manufacturing Engineering Team is to develop and support automation equipment and programming fixtures for the assembly lines. Other responsibilities include communication of root cause status across cross-functional groups and leadership, trend monitoring, Electrical guidance / leadership, and potential process development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define subsystem and board level test requirements and aid in the development of test and programming fixtures.
  • Lead or support scope, root cause, consequence, and solution implementation of potential quality issues across the production lines.
  • Support manufacturing issues related to product and system components.  May include hands on assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Develop, implement and maintain test methods and processes in the manufacture and test of sub-assembly, module, and top level product for new and existing product lines.
  • Assist in defining impact of firmware changes to product and circuit level tests.
  • Assist in the development of new production lines including robotics, product handling, transfer, programming and test of circuit boards, components, subassemblies to finished products.

Skills, Experience, & Education

  • 5+ years in a product development role (design, test, or manufacturing).
  • Experience with firmware and circuit board programming.
  • Experience in manufacturing including automated and semi-automated production lines.
  • Hands-on problem-solving experience along with mechanical aptitude strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical groups.
  • Decisive, self-motivated, and prone to action.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Must be customer focused to drive continual improvement
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
