Job Summary:

Providing exceptional accounting and administration services to support the Canadian Financial controller and Sales team, including routine and non-routine accounting and support functions in general accounting, intercompany transactions, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Sales Taxes, and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General accounting and reconciliations including monthly JE preparation, monthly roll forward reconciliations to US finance, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset reconciliations, amongst others

  • Responsible for intercompany accounting and reconciliations between US and Canada, plus inter-divisional transactions with KLIM Canada.  This will include processing and reconciling intercompany inventory purchases including ICRC transactions, intercompany billings and related invoicing to Canadian dealers, and working with US finance staff to reconcile and coordinate Intercompany transactions

  • Responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll, including all related reconciliations and reporting such as WCB reports and returns for each Province, benefit plan reporting and remittances, and annual reconciliations and reporting

  • Responsible for the daily review of bank activity on all Polaris Canada’s bank accounts to ensure cash receipts are posted & applied correctly.  This includes E-Com deposits from various sources  

  • Responsible for accounts payable functions including administration of the Concur Expense Reporting system for Canada, Cor360 invoice submission and processing

  • Responsible for the completion and filing of various retail tax returns, including monthly GST/HST Return, monthly BC PST, monthly QST return, quarterly Manitoba PST return, and annual Saskatchewan PST returns

  • Other reporting and communication, including Statistics Canada reporting, Unit Sales reporting

  • Responsible for the management and tracking of Polaris Canada’s Dealer Plate inventory, including assigning plates to new employees/Dealers/Customers, and the annual MPI renewal

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Recently completed CPA (CGA, CMA, CA), or in the final stages of completion with 2-5 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment

  • Experience with accounting systems and query tools

  • Experience with Intercompany transaction processing would be ideal

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, detail and deadline oriented

  • Must be a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Operate with a high level of integrity & confidence

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid office environment (three days in office, 2 days working remote) with very limited travel.
