The Data Analyst will lead analytics insights and reporting efforts for Off-Road Vehicles Global Channel Development at Polaris.  The expectation is to go beyond traditional analytics reporting and provide/present actionable insights and to facilitate change and improve the business.  Key responsibilities include ongoing delivery of reporting and insights, ad-hoc and problem solving analysis, developing insightful recommendations to improve business performance.  Work and collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders, IS, Analytics & Data Science teams and outside agencies.


Lead the development and distribution of dealer channel reports: Channel dashboards, channel maps, KPIs, financials, and other reports. Reports should include business context and insights to drive insights across our various stakeholders. Gather, analyze, and communicate combination of general market data with internal distribution data (location, sales, NPS, etc.) and outside partner data. Proactively develop performance insights using multiple tools and data sources. Include observations and business context to deliver actionable insights. Actively partner, develop effective relationships, and instill confidence with cross-functional stakeholders. and other related groups to facilitate and manage efforts across teams to leverage insights to drive change. Partner with IT on any projects that support the areas of responsibility. Lead the development of business processes that are conducive to making the Channel Development team more efficient.


  • 4-year Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related areas of study
  • 5+ years of professional working experience in analytics or related area of focus is required.
  • Prior working experience with retail/multi-channel companies is strongly desired.
  • 3- 5+ years of professional experience with SQL queries, data mining, and Power BI &/or Tableau tools with the aptitude to learn new ones quickly.
  • Very Strong Excel skills especially working with pivot tables (Power Pivot a plus), statistical, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to effectively foster cross-functional relationships across various teams (e.g. data & analytics teams, sales, legal, project management, business intelligence, etc.) and develop a good view of how the business operates so that analytical results can be framed in a business context.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple work requests and projects.
  • Ability to independently prioritize workload. Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take on diverse ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests involving multiple factors that have various scope/goals.
  • High energy and results oriented. Looking to make improvements and change.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and turn around analysis and provide answers quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively present analytics data to business users.
