POLARIS SNOCROSSER JAKE SCOTT REBOUNDS FOR PRO LITE WIN IN ISOC RACING IN MICHIGAN

MEDINA, Minn. (Dec. 10, 2012) – Polaris snocross racer Jake Scott (Team LaVallee) won a Pro Lite final, while Ross Martin (Judnick Motorsports) earned a podium finish in Pro Open and Jennifer Pare (Leighton Motorsports) won the Pro Am Women final at the Blackjack National held Friday and Saturday, December 7-8, at Blackjack Resort in Bessemer, Michigan. Blackjack was the second stop on the ISOC AMSOIL Championship snocross racing schedule, and it included two rounds of finals for the Pro Open and Pro Lite classes.

 

Pro Open: Martin Earns Saturday Podium Spot

Ross Martin (Judnick Motorsports) earned a podium spot with a second-place finish on Saturday as Polaris racers took five of the top 11 spots in both Pro Open finals. On Friday, Levi LaVallee (Team LaVallee) finished fifth, one spot ahead of Martin, while Kody Kamm (Hentges Racing) was seventh, Justin Broberg (Hentges Racing) finished ninth and Colby Crapo (Leighton Motorsports) finished 11th.

In Saturday’s Pro Open final, Martin finished second, Johan Lidman (Carlson Motorsports) was sixth, Kyle Pallin (Team LaVallee) finished eighth, Kody Kamm came home ninth and Colby Crapo was 11th.

Martin ended up fourth in Pro Open points, followed in the standings by fellow Polaris racers: 8. Justin Broberg; 10. Levi LaVallee; 12. Kody Kamm; 13. Kyle Pallin; 14. Colby Crapo; and 15. Johan Lidman.

 

Pro Lite: Jake Scott Rebounds for Saturday Win

Things didn’t go Jake Scott’s way Friday, and the Team LaVallee racer finished 15th in the Pro Lite final. But he rebounded to win on Saturday, which gave Polaris racers three of six podium spots for the weekend since James Johnstad (Judnick Motorsports) and Andrew Carlson (Carlson Motorsports) had finished second and third, respectively, on Friday.

Johnstad left Michigan second in Pro Lite points while Andrew Lieders (Lieders Racing/Leighton Motorsports) is fifth, Jake Scott is sixth, Andrew Carlson i 10th and Marcus Johansson (Carlson Motorsports) is 11th.

Pro Am Women: Jennifer Pare Wins & is Tops in Points

Jennifer Pare (Leighton Motorsports) won the Pro Am Women final at Bessemer, giving her a first and second in the season’s first two races. The win made Pare the class points leader. Tabitha Bode (Team BSR) finished fourth at Bessemer and is fourth in points, while Rachelle Fountain (Fountain Racing) was sixth in Michigan and Jennifer Martel was eighth.

 

Sport Class: Luke Wollenberg Sweeps to Two Victories

Luke Wollenberg (2 Three 7 Motorsports) of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, won both of the weekend’s Sport class finals, and Polaris racers finished 1-2-3 on Friday as Wollenberg won, Zak Mason (Z.M.R.) was second and Jake Angove (Fort Fremont Racing) was third.

Braydon Love (Ducky Racing 444 motorsports) finished fifth and fourth, respectively, in the weekend’s Sport finals and left Michigan as the Sport class points leader. Zak Mason is second in points, Luke Wollenberg is third, Jake Angove (Fort Fremont Racing) is fifth, Cole Cottew (Cottew Motorsports) is 10th and Evan Daudt (Daudt Racing) is 11th.

 

Junior Classes: Jacob Yurk, Nickolas Lorenz Reach the Podium

Jacob Yurk (Team Vermillion) won the Junior 16-17 final and took third in the Junior 14-15 final, which was won by Nickolas Lorenz (Lorenz Racing).

The next two rounds of the ISOC National racing will be run January 4-5, 2013, at the Canterbury Park Racetrack and Card Casino in Shakopee, Minnesota.
