Minneapolis, MN (July 22, 2014)- At Round 5 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, Cody Rahders took his fifth win in a row in the Stock XP class with his Polaris/Cognito Motorsports RZR 900 and finished the day with a win in the Production 1000 class in his Cognito Motorsports/Polaris RZR XP 1000.
With the start inverted four positions for the Stock XP class, Rahders would work his way into second by the end of lap two and was in the lead by the end of lap three. He would maintain a one-second lead to the end of the race and seal his fifth win in a row.
Rahders would then hop into his RZR XP 1000. With the start inverted four positions, it put him on the pole and he was able to pilot his car to the front of the 22-strong class. Rahders would never look back, leading the race wire-to-wire, for his first win in the Production 1000 class.
“There are a lot of really good drivers here and I knew there would be a lot of pressure from the pack but I wasn’t letting that one get away,” said Rahders. “My spotter, Nick, let me know where everyone was and I just drove hard to the finish.”
Rahders and R3motorsports would like to thank his sponsors for their support: Cognito Motorsports, Polaris, Superchips, ITP Tires, Fox Shocks, Method Race Wheels, Muzzys, Black Rhino RacerX Motorsports, the UTVunderground.com, K&N Filters, Sparks Racing, Lucas Oil, Crower, Twisted Stitch Seats, Praxair, Reno Sign & Design, GMZ Race Products, Shilynn Milligan Photography, spotter Nick Novak, mechanics Kevin Sullivan and Jon Kelly, Cognito Motorsports owner Justin Lambert, Gina Snew, Dave Stall for my radio time, Joe Moore, and my mom and dad.
