Warranty Information

Polaris’ Factory Warranties cover parts and labor charges for repair or replacement of defective parts and begins on the date of purchase. Please refer to specific vehicle owner’s manuals for detailed warranty information.

  • TWO YEAR or 8,000 MILE, whichever comes first, LIMITED WARRANTY on all components (except batteries) of your GEM vehicle against defects in material or workmanship.

GEM Battery Coverage – Non-Lithium Ion

  • Non-Lithium Ion battery coverage in this Limited Warranty begins on the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser and continues for twenty-four months or 8,000 miles, whichever comes first. Review the table below for more details.

GEM Battery Coverage – Lithium Ion

  • Polaris gives a FIVE-YEAR/30,000-MILE (whichever occurs first) LIMITED parts and labor warranty on the battery pack against defects in material or workmanship on your GEM vehicle. The FIVE-YEAR/30,000-MILE term begins on the purchase date, is fully transferable and has no deductible.

  • 12-month LIMITED WARRANTY for all components (excluding the diesel engine and spark arrester) of your POLARIS diesel vehicle against defects in material or workmanship.
  • 12-month or 1,000 hours of engine operation (whichever comes first) LIMITED WARRANTY on all components of the diesel engine against defects in material or workmanship.
  • The spark arrester in this product will meet the efficiency requirements of USFS standard 5100-1C for at least 1,000 hours when subjected to normal use and when maintenance and installation are in accordance with Polaris’ recommendations.

Extended Warranty Plans (Polaris Protection Plan)

Purchasing an extended warranty plan helps keep you, the owner, at ease knowing your investment is covered in case of any emergencies. All Polaris products with existing factory warranties remaining are eligible for extended protection plans.

  • Extend mechanical breakdown coverage for up to an INDUSTRY LEADING 60 MONTHS
  • Coverage is transferable to a subsequent owner, adding value if the current owner wants to trade-in or sell the unit.
  • COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE for every mechanical breakdown
  • TOWING and supplemental coverage are available from day one of coverage
  • NO MILEAGE RESTRICTIONS

Towing Assistance Program

Emergency roadside assistance is available to GEM owners 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, throughout the United States and Canada during the term of the manufacturer’s base warranty. This service is available through Nation Motor Club, LLC d/b/a Nation Safe Drivers. It includes round-trip towing for up to 200 miles from your vehicle’s location to the nearest authorized servicing dealer. Towing coverage is available once per vehicle per year within the manufacturer’s base warranty. To request roadside assistance, call 844-608-4732, and have the below information readily available.

  • Contract number: your vehicle’s 17-digit VIN, which can be found in the bottom driver-side corner of your windshield

Certain procedures require the use of special tools that are not available to the general public and your dealer will have to perform these procedures for you as necessary. if you have any doubt as to your ability to perform any of the procedures outlined in your vehicle’s service manual, contact an authorized Polaris dealer for service. Procedures indicated to be performed by dealers only could void your warranty if performed incorrectly. The failure to follow correct procedures and use correct tools could result in serious injury or death.
