The Polaris Information Systems Development Program (ISDP) accelerates the career development for recent college graduates who wish to further enhance their technical abilities and leadership skills. The program provides the resources, support and environment you’ll need to realize both personal and professional success in a highly competitive industry.

What to Expect
Polaris is a fast paced environment, priding itself on staying up to date with cutting edge technology. Some examples include virtualization, hybrid storage, unified communications, agile and rapid development. You'll begin building your skills and knowledge early through a series of intensive short-term assignments. The variety of assignments introduces you to what working at Polaris is all about and helps you to decide where your interests ultimately best align with the company's needs. Applicants can choose from two different tracks:
  • Applications, which could include:
    • Applications Developer (2 rotations required in this role)
    • Systems Analyst / Business Analyst
    • Project Manager
    • Applications Help Desk Support
    • BI/SharePoint Applications
  • Infrastructure, which could include:
    • PC/device/client Administrator (required)
    • Systems Administrator (required)
    • Network Administrator (required)
    • Database Administrator / BI
    • Project Manager
    • Security Administrator
Each rotation spans six months, providing time to learn the role as well as gain hands on experience. During this program you will also establish mentor relationships with key information systems and business leaders that will continue throughout your career with Polaris.

Becoming a Candidate
The ISDP program is selective. A limited number of openings occur each year, and only the most promising college graduates are chosen. To become a candidate, please check out our recruiting calendar to see if we will be visiting your campus or apply online. Our primary recruiting for these positions happens in the months of September through November.

• A superior undergraduate academic record (Overall GPA of 3.0 minimum).
• Exhibited leadership characteristics and excellent communication skills.
• Proven academic success in key Computer Science courses with an emphasis in Windows Environments
• Internship or Co-op experiences related to your field of study and interests.
• Desire to work in a team environment and take a proactive leadership role.
• The drive to actively contribute to both personal and company-wide goals through creative and innovative thinking.
• Proven strength in analysis and creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
