Never use alcohol or drugs while operating winch.
Always wear eye protection and leather gloves.
Keep body, hair, clothing, and jewelry clear of the winch cable.
Plan your pull carefully.
a. Keep area around vehicle, winch, and cable, clear of people.
b. Always keep your eyes on the winch.
c. One operator at a time—always communicate with passengers.
d. Operate with caution when alone.
Always be sure that at least five full turns of cable are wrapped around the winch drum.
Never attempt to winch loads that weigh more than the winch’s rated capacity.
Never use the winch to hoist or suspend a vertical load, or to lift or transport a person.
Always inspect your winch and winch cable before each use.
Never intentionally immerse or submerse your winch in water. Take your winch to your dealer for service if this occurs.
Unplug the control when not in use, to prevent inadvertent use.
