I ride with a group of 5 mostly in southern Colorado. My moment of terrain ...more
I ride with a group of 5 mostly in southern Colorado. My moment of terrain domination was earlier this year was a momnet when we came up against a steep slope littered with trees and very soft snow. There was no way to get to where we needed to go but to go straight up or go back the way we came and not reach our destination. The crew looks to me to break the trail. Im the only one riding a Polaris. There is two 2012 Proclimb 800s in the mix and a Summit XP 800. I knew it was going to be a challenge for me but decided to chance it. I took off up the off camber slope littered with trees and absoutly made a beautiful carve pattern on the steep side hill to make it over the top to the mouth of the destination. As a turned around to go back and tell the group we could make it. I found that they had tryed to follow and were all four littered across the hill stuck. :) I had to smile ....then go help them get out! I was the only one who made it so we had to turn around and go back but it wasnt because me and my Pro RMK were the weak link....that would be the furthest from the truth.
