This is the first year I've owned a Polaris sled. I had owned Ski-Doo brands, but I decided to buy a second hand '93 Classic single seat in November. It looked like it was in good shape, needed a few fixes, some cosmetic improvements, nothing major. My prior snowmobiles were just something to get around on, but now I had the time/money to make this one look and feel how I wanted it. I replaced old idler wheels, added a new windshield, bar hooks, studded the track, added some coloured trim, and made many other improvements. It's the first sled I've actually been proud of, and the first one I truly feel is mine. They say the first year you buy a new sled you barely get any snow - well that was the case this year. We only had one good month in PEI, but for the few hours I spent on the trails I put 50+ hours in the garage working on it. In the future when I decide upgrade to a new Polaris, I'll be keeping my '93. I'd never get a price to make up for the time and effort put into MY Indy.
