Best Sled I've Ever Owned

This was my first Polaris snowmobile I have ever owned and also ever bought new! I had high expectation for my new ride but they have been exceeded for sure! This is the most comfortable, well designed, easiest riding sled I have ever owned! The power is great off the showroom floor. I am very happy with my purchase and would say what are you waiting for. The new belt design system is fantastic. I'm a loyal Polaris owner now!

Great Sled - Powerful and Reliable

It's one of the greatest sleds I've ever owned. It is powerful, reliable and the suspension and handling is just amazing. I will never be caught buying any other sled than Polaris 800 RMK.

This is Too Much Fun

For 23 years I have managed a water supply on the East Slope of the Rocky Mountains. During the winter months, mid October thru late May, the only access to the reservoirs is by sled. All of these lakes are at an elevation from 10,000 to 12,000 feet. The area holds the world record 24-hour snowfall and is the third windiest place in the world. Sledding is a matter of survival, not recreation (OK, maybe I have some fun). Enough background; I'll get to the sled now. I travel alone much of the time. Getting stuck and knowing how to get out is critcal to my survival. The 430-pound dry weight of this sled is amazing. That, combined with the low-end tourque and low rpm. clutch engagement, saves me an incredible number of calories. The 800 Pro RMK is by far the most comfortable sled I have ever been on. I can't speak for sitting on the sled; rarely do I get that luxury. The narrowness and high center of gravity make it a cinch to sidehill and flick. There are plenty of suspension adjustments to make the ride perfect. My selfish complaint: it is too easy to ride, newbies can do tricks it took me years to perfect! Twice, on my first ride, the sled squirted out from underneath me, leaving me in the riding position standing in the snow. Horsepower? Uh yeh; felt like I had been waterskiing all day until I started leaning into the acceleration. What can I say...this sled is QUICK! The sled was purchased in late January 2011 and as of late April, 2011 I have put 850 miles on it without a hiccup. My only concern with the sled is it tends to run hot. I just stop, and throw a little snow on it. I did manage to wear out a set of scratchers; no big deal. Thanks Polaris, you have made my sledding life far more fun and exciting!
